I hadn't engaged with Mike for over a year and just recently found out why. Mike was a good, wise man. He was someone that was truly tolerant and could engage in intellectual conversation even though he may not agree with everything.
Michael was a wrestler at HPHS and that had to be one of the toughest sports. I remember in the locker room after basketball practice seeing the windows in the wrestling room fogged up and dripping from sweat . Michael was in there making weight. He lived his life tenaciously working very hard as a lawyer and later mentoring and helping many charities and non profits raise money to develop and serve their organizations. He loved mentoring the next generation whether it was helping his sons in their business ventures or young Chicago business leaders. He was a wine connoisseur who loved bringing friends and family together to drink his favorite finds. He loved getting high school friends together for dinner on a regular basis . He was a bridge builder who always worked to overcome interpersonal conflict and keep people together . He had many close life long friends . He lived a passionate and rich life and is missed by many.

Blessings to his family.
