Jim Powell

Cheri and I are loving life. We have been married for 37 years. Emily and Joe came to me with the marriage and have been a great part of our life. Carrie is ours together and making her way through life. We are now empty nesters but love visiting our kids and grandkids. We travel as much as possible and enjoy reading, and scuba diving. Cheri retired from school teaching in 2006 and I am in my 40th year of consulting engineering, the majority of which has been environmental and energy engineering.

During swim team practice, I was getting ready to dive off the block and Coach Davis said, "Powell, you look like you have a corn cob stuck up your xxx sideways." I continue to laugh every time I tell that story. Thanks Coach.
