Eddy was a fantastic person and I think I was one of the few men to be able to call him eddy or frigs I have alot more memories of him at elm place grade school he was one of my first friends and I can't think of football without remembering him and the day he broke his leg during one of our sunday games. He also was one of the most intelligent people I've ever known and was a really great and quick wit. They broke the mold after he was born and I will always think fondly of him as his memory brings a smile to me
Thanks Susan for letting us know how he died. I always enjoyed Eddie. He was a great Elm Place friend, very down to earth. I spent a lot of time at the last reunion speaking with him, so I was surprised when I had heard he had died. Way too young.
Ed was my friend. I remember the day his sister called me, and relayed the news that Ed had passed. It was a very sad day. We hadn't seen each other in years, but I always knew that I would get a call once the Bear/Packer game was about to be played. He'd call and we'd BS for at least an hour, he would quiz me about my life, and I would do the same about his. We spent a lot of time in Highwood, in the early days, played touch/tackle football on Sundays a Lincoln School, and generally tried to keep an eye out for each other. We had a lot of fun together, and I guess I will always miss his friendship. Ed, you were a good man, a funny man, and a great friend.

Does anyone know the details? I find it hard to believe that the lively Ed Frigo, the original Fonz, is no longer with us. Linda Kagan

Ed lived in California and was a ferrier who worked on amazing horses - a natural and great love for him.
He was an amazing person with a great sense of humor...loved & appreciated by his friends.
Sadly, he died of esophogeal cancer almmost 5 years ago. Gone too soon.

Too soon for the good boy/man I remember.
And I think of him often although I haven't seen him in many, many years. God bless...
