I remember Gretchen from Elm Place with her long blond hair and her beautiful eyes. She was always such a quiet, sweet spirit. Did she have leukemeia? She died so young.
I went to Elm Place with Gretchen and remember her as a gentle, creative and beautiful girl. I had a lot of fun spending time with her. We'd write and perform little plays and she had all the best stuff to make incredibly complex Barbie houses. Her passing at such a young age was so very tragic. I've thought of her often over the last 4 decades and they've always been happy memories.
I also heard she died of leukemia. She was, to me, perfect in every way: beautiful, kind and a wonderful artist. I wished I were her. So sad she died so young.
